Durham Spanish

Partnered with Primera Iglesia Alianza Hispana (PIAH) Church in Durham Region, Ontario, this new venture was launched out of a desire to support the growing Spanish population in the region. After spending time as gathering and praying together as a Discerning Community, they have now launched a weekly service held at Ritson Road Alliance Church. Supported by leaders Carlos Gonzalez, Edgar Hernandez, along with Pastor Eynar Mina, Durham Spanish aims to reach this Spanish community of Durham by providing a feeling of belonging within the church. 

In Durham Region, 10% of the population identifies as Spanish-speaking, yet there are very few Spanish-speaking churches. God has placed a burden on Carlos’ heart to meet the needs of this growing community, welcoming them into the presence of God in their heart language. The hope is to grow relationships within the Spanish community in the area, trusting God as He continues to lead the next steps towards deepening discipleship.

This New Venture is also supported in partnership with the Eastern District and the Hispanic Network of Alliance Leaders.
