2024 Annual Report

Letter from President Herbold

I am filled with immense gratitude to the Lord for His hand upon The Alliance Canada and this exciting season He has called us to.

I’m not a natural writer, but I consider it a great privilege to communicate to you the Lord’s many kindnesses to us in these days. I’ve recently re-read Footprints by Lindsay Reynolds, and  I think what he calls a “principal public expression” of the values of our movement aptly describes the kinds of gatherings we’ve seen, both nationally and internationally this year. God’s presence has been tangible among us as we gathered. 

I am reminded of Exodus 33:15, where Moses says to the Lord, “If Your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” The Lord is calling us to walk forward in faith-filled and courageous steps as He invites us into these next years, trusting Him for His fruitfulness to double our reach. He is moving among us in a significant unifying, aligning, and catalytic way for His glory and purposes. I can think of no greater assignment for us to be part of, and I am humbled to think that He has called each one of us for such a time as this.

Jesus has called us to an audacious goal that we are absolutely and fully incapable of accomplishing on our own. I am hopeful that this commitment to double our reach will cause us to turn our eyes to the harvest field with increased focus, embrace discomfort, and expect God to move in mighty ways. 

As you read this report, I hope you are encouraged by the many ways God is at work in and through The Alliance. He has given us a new strategic framework that will enable us to realise our vision of doubling our reach by 2034. I also hope this report will challenge you to take the next courageous step He has placed in front of you.
